The Role Purpose

The Function plays a key role in managing the local network infrastructure and also global infrastructure projects within the Standard Chartered Bank. For the core local Infrastructure coverage, Standard Chartered HK has around 80 local branches, 80 ATM networks, 6 main back offices and over 1000 network devices.

With this in mind, we are looking for a dynamic and driven Network Specialist to join our impactful team on a permanent basis.

The Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement network changes in accordance with the change management process
  • Manage vendors and coordinate with internal and global IT teams to deliver projects
  • Liaise with the Bank's global operation and engineering teams on to ensure support of best practice and to enforce strict adherence to Banks standards and regulatory requirements
  • Clear and accurate documentation of all network processes related to network inventory, logical inventory, network diagrams, network traffic flows and technical troubleshooting
  • Daily operational checks and to investigate / resolve any identified issues
  • Analyse current network process / functionalities and provide recommendations on inprovement to management
  • Manage relevant end to end service improvement initiatives to address risk mitigation and service stability
  • Provide support and guidance to junior engineers

The Role Requirements

  • Experience and prior exposure in data networks
  • Technical understanding to LAN, WAN, domestic network and Firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, F5), CCNP is preferred
  • Experience in configuring and managing switches, routers and firewall devices in context of LAN, WAN, MAN and WIFI
  • Track record / experience in delivering regional and in-country network projects
  • Experience in working in a multi-culture and diverse environment
  • Self motivated and dynamic professional with excellent communication skills
  • A effective team player with the ability to liase well with global teams
  • Exposure with internetworking protocols, includes routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP) and routed (TCP/IP, SNA) products
