Department profile
Institutional Securities Technology (IST) is part of Technology. This group is responsible for developing enterprise applications for a diverse set of businesses including Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, and Global Capital Markets. In addition, IST provides technology solutions for client-aligned groups and company-wide divisions, such as Finance and Operations, post-trade functions within the Institutional Securities Group and standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.

Team Profile
We are looking for a technical, hands-on release manager to help improve our build, release, integration and testing infrastructure to play a leading role in our effort to streamline our release process and help define the strategic dev-qa process for RICE risk calculation system. This is a challenging and high-profile role because RICE is our strategic delivery platform for the macro businesses, and we need to be able to streamline our processes to release the code being developed by upwards of 400 developers. RICE is one of the largest Scala codebases in the world, built on-top of the Optimus runtime environment (also in Scala).

Role profile
The successful candidate will be responsible to coordinate releases with stakeholders: dev teams, end-users, production management, release management. Responsibilities will also include planning and optimization of the execution procedure, automated/scripted generation of configuration. The new joiner will be part of a dev team which is working on a Scala project, in case of interest he or she will have the opportunity to learn or enhance his or her knowledge on this area.


Qualifications:


Skills Required
- Good communication skills in English
- Experience in scripting and automation
- Linux/Unix experience, basic knowledge of shells and command line tools

Skills Desired
- Experience with build tools including Jenkins, Gradle, Ant
- Experience with Git or other SCM systems
- Experience in distributed systems tools like Splunk
- Experience of working in a globally distributed team
- Interest in learning Java or Scala
