We are looking for
Junior Payroll Accountant
in our Budapest Office

The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of approximately 2,500 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to Firmwide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.


- Act as a control point for payroll related bookings
- Manage payroll related employee queries
- Manage Employee Reimbursement reports and vendor invoices, contact employees and Accounts Payable
- Reconcile, code and upload employee reimbursement
- Accounting in Hungarian ledger (eg. Bank, payroll booking, invoicing to employees)
- Contact vendors, handle vendor/employee queries
- Performing Monthly Accounts reconciliations (US & Hungarian GAAP) & Year-end Activities

- Manage payroll related documents distribution and tracking
- Filing and archiving of documents
- Close interaction with HR, payroll, corporate service and financial controllers
- Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior


Skills required:

- At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or payroll processing (internship experience is also welcome)
- Hungarian GAAP knowledge is a must
- Have confident command of English language
- Self-starter, comfortable with working autonomously when necessary
- Be available to answer questions and queries from local and remote team members and users in a timely fashion
- Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to priorities tasks
- Hungarian Chartered accountant certificate is an advantage
