The Portfolio Compliance Group (PCG) is a global group which sits within the Global Fund Accounting Services (GFAS) one of the core functions within the Business Operations Group at BlackRock. Portfolio Compliance is responsible for implementing and running controls & processes to ensure we are compliant with all applicable regulatory and portfolio issued guidelines. It covers trading and investments, including pre- and post-trade compliance; mutual fund monitoring and reporting; and regulatory threshold monitoring and reporting; global syndicate offering review; ERISA & Fiduciary monitoring, and oversight of other regulatory processes performed across all of Business Operations.
The Regulatory Change & Control team is primarily responsible for overseeing the implementation and ongoing oversight of regulatory obligations for the Technology & Operations teams within BlackRock. The team works alongside change management functions within the firm who are responsible for performing key project management and business analysis tasks. The group is engaged with and provides services to many other departments across the firm in particular; Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, and Corporate Governance, as well as working closely with other Business Operations and Technology teams. It is one of the highest areas of focus in EMEA at present due to the increasing complexity and importance of European regulatory requirements.
The specific role, based in Budapest working in the Regulatory Control team, will be primarily focused on managing control processes across the global Operations teams.
► Day to day support for the Regulatory Change & Control Team. This involves:
► Coordinating across other Operations teams to provide transparency and reporting of controls undertaken within those teams
► Performing regular testing of key regulatory processes to validate compliance by other Operations teams
► Constructing senior management reporting which identifies key areas of risk for the firm
► Providing support to both Compliance and other teams in efforts to review compliance with key regulations
► Perform certain BAU reporting and control functions during short and medium-term periods to ensure proper development and hand off to BAU groups
► Engage with colleagues from different departments in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
► Support colleagues with internal and external queries relating to regulatory obligations
► Gain working knowledge of Aladdin Database structure
► Exposure to multiple business groups and investment products across Blackrock globally
► Daily interaction with business groups including Technology & Operations, Legal & Compliance and Technology
► Exposure to global regulatory regimes and jurisdictions

Knowledge / Experience:
► Experience of working in the investment management industry or investment banking
► Experience of performing regulatory processes is a preference, but not a necessity
► Working in a team with daily, important deadlines, performing complex tasks
► Proof or performing important work accurately and consistently, following set procedures
Skills / Qualifications:
► Strong IT skills
► Proficient in Microsoft applications, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
► Strong academics with a background in finance or similar fields
► Some experience with Visual Basic / SQL (preferable)
► Excellent verbal and written communication skills
► Capable of building strong working relationships and interacting professionally at all levels of seniority and across multiple cultures
► Ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to target audience
► Ability to self-manage workloads and work to deadlines
► Ability to think clearly and remain calm in stressful/busy situations
► Analytical mind and approach
