Client Communications - AVP
Summary:
The Client Communication role sits within Global Marketing's Client Marketing and Communications team to primarily support key priorities and create content around key themes and priorities for the business. The main responsibilities will include:
  • As AVP - Corporate Communications, you will be a part of the global communications team, run and manage all internal and external communication within the country. Reporting to the Global Head of Internal Communications, you will be responsible for devising the communication strategy for the internal communications, PR and social media for State Street's businesses and corporate functions in India.
  • Effective relationship-building, strategic communications and partnerships are key demands in this role as the incumbent interfaces with diverse internal and external stakeholders. This role currently has one direct report as well as the support and access to the global counterparts within comms.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement internal communications strategy that engage employees in the achievement of business goals aligned with corporate initiatives and goals.
  • Strategic advisor to senior leadership team including crafting key messages, presentations, Q&As and other documents used by executives to convey strategy and ensure consistent, coherent cascade of information across the company.
  • Develop and execute public relations strategy that fulfills the business goals and reputation agenda of the company. Develop and maintain relationships with key reputation influencers and journalists.
  • Identify and create compelling stories for our social media channels to enhance our social footprint.
  • Measure, maintain and improve the quality of our outreach, in the process working with marketing, HR, technology and business teams as needed.
  • Oversee and manage vendor relationships.
  • Developing best practices that can be shared across internal communication team members for optimal efficiency and impact.

Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications:
MBA/University degree, ideally in a communications-related discipline.
