GLOBAL COMPLIANCE
Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Help develop and implement surveillance monitoring controls. Specific tasks will include:
Working with subject matter experts within Compliance to draft logical requirements and propose design suggestions to develop and implement surveillance and controls
Perform User Acceptance Testing of proposed controls along with constant posting to relevant global compliance members
Interact with relevant technology teams, Divisional and Regional Compliance teams on various compliance related issues and projects and obtain global feedback and necessary sign-offs
Close liaison with the Compliance Surveillance Analytics Group and Compliance Technology in the development, review, and testing of new automated surveillance models and outputs
Support projects related to proactive maintenance and improvement of the control and surveillance platform (e.g., development of new surveillance, enhancing existing surveillance as new reference data becomes available)
Support centralized forensic reviews, including initial data analysis, documentation of reviews and results tracking
Communicate regularly with stakeholders and senior management on outstanding surveillance issues and other assigned compliance projects

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
University degree
1 - 6 years' relevant experience, either in data analytics/surveillance, compliance or controls/testing
Strong knowledge of investment products and financial markets
Strong project management and organization skills
Good interpersonal skills and effective written/oral communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment
Attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
Ability to draft logical reasoning scenarios and provide technical specification requirements
Advanced MS Office skills preferred, including experience with large data sets and proficiency in data manipulation and presentation
