Job Description: Data Transformation Associate (Companies and Airports)

The role of Data Transformation Associate involves working within an established team of dedicated professionals on an extensive data set on governmental bodies and commercial entities active within the aerospace and defence sphere. The successful applicant will govern, create and maintain organization content conforming to set standards. The information will either be primary sourced or active research will be undertaken to validate all secondary sources. Further, the successful applicant will work to enhance the airports data currently held by Jane's. This work requires great attention to detail and focused research to update or validate held information, as well as increasing the world-wide coverage percentage by adding more airports to the data set. Attention to detail, an eye for consistency, understanding of organizational structure and knowledge of Microsoft Excel are essential attributes and previous experience in a data orientated role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Updates data held against governmental bodies and commercial entities on an ongoing basis.
  • Sources information based on set standards to ensure correctness of data published.
  • Increases airport coverage by rigorous research and checking.
  • Follows structured data templates and applies classifications to a strict standard.
  • Writes brief descriptions on operations of the commercial entities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Conversant with features in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to sift through large amount of data and parse information from various sources.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of working with large data set of preference.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to work process changes. Accept new challenges and roles as and when assigned.
  • 6 months - 2 years of experience in relevant domain.

Educational Qualification:

  • University Bachelor's/Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
