Are you looking to apply your analytical skills while deepening your understanding of asset management? Our External Custody Reconciliations team is seeking a professional who is looking to collaborate across operations groups, technology, and business stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with the identification and resolution of reconciliation exceptions.


External Custody Reconciliations is a high-value risk management team in Operations that, across multiple asset classes, controls the risk associated with the identification and resolution of reconciliation exceptions through independent and thorough review.


  • Prepare to gain a comprehensive understanding of product classification, strategies and markets by interacting with operations groups, controllers, and technology in order to work toward the shared goal of risk mitigation
  • Partner with a team of product experts to review all portfolio securities, and transaction exceptions gaining strong knowledge and financial risk awareness
  • Showcase your attention to detail by ensuring all exceptions are correctly captured in the risk management system
  • Use your inquisitive mind set to identify control weaknesses with respect to transaction exceptions as well as discrepancies in accounting and calculation of incomes
  • Grow with the team; develop a deeper understanding of complex transactions and work with our business partners to progress our information capture capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree with one to three years of experience in financial services
  • Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
