Manager - Middle Office

Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India

The Role / Responsibilities:
? Manage daily production line and allocation of work among the team members; rebalance
workload as needed to accommodate resource constraints, volume surges or ad hoc requests
? Support the team in executing on Business as Usual (BAU) expectations and delivering on
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
? Monitor and report on team capacity utilization and key performance indicators
? Partner with analysts as the initial escalation point for clarifications or dialogue about findings
identified in the rating committee documentation review
? Effective management of team for day?to?day process and personnel?related queries and issues,
performance management, recruiting, training and development
Review finding emails prior to sending to rating groups for accuracy, clarity and grammar
? Develop subject matter expertise in the QA review process as well as related policies,
procedures and guidance to facilitate educated decision?making when faced with an exceptional
scenario not covered by the process steps, and to provide effective guidance to the team
? Demonstrate enhanced knowledge of policies and guidelines applicable to the process and strong
competency in Moody's applications
? Motivate team to achieve targets and meet deadlines under pressure
? Conduct regular 1:1 touch points meeting with direct reports
? Promptly and efficiently connect local and regional team members to solve problems, build
consensus on and make recommendations for a path forward when faced with an obstacle or new
scenario
? Proactively liaise with team, managers and regional business partners to discuss and resolve open
questions and brainstorm ideas/opportunities to improve and strengthen the process/operating
environment
? Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers and business partners, and be a
helpful and responsive resource to the immediate team and managers
? Identify and proactively research issues, exceptions and discrepancies with data, propose solutions,
escalate as needed, and follow up to resolve
? Track and report on team progress/productivity for daily, weekly and ad hoc reporting
? Create and/or update process documentation; make recommendations for efficiency opportunities
? Partner with adjacent teams to ensure coordination and collaboration

Qualifications:
? Postgraduate with 6?10 yrs of experience, including 2?3 years experience of managing teams of
5 or more people
? Good Excel and PowerPoint skills;
? Clear written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interpret and effectively
communicate complex business concepts or policies/guidance to a senior audience.
? Resourceful and proactive, continually seeking ways to make improvements in the
process/team/work environment
? Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing and presenting data
? Agility managing and prioritizing high workload volumes, assigning tasks and rebalancing
