Group Operations Solutions (GOS) supports Prime Derivatives Services business and trading.

The OPUS application is a web-based, in house processing platform for listed US options. It provides automated US Option expiry as well as various trade bookings and reconciliations. The OPUS book of work is challenging and in high demand to meet the growing needs of the business and meeting industry initiatives.
We seek a Technical lead responsible for delivery of the application components within GOSD. Expected to
  • Play a tech lead role for a global development team mainly using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, and DB2.
  • Be proficient in Technical stack/tools such as Java, J2EE, JMS or MQ Series, Control-M, WebLogic, JDBC, Spring Boot, Oracle DBMS, RESTful or SOAP/Web Services, XML, JSON, SOAP, JavaScript, Junit; JIRA, Maven, SharePoint. Exposure to KAFKA is an advantage.
  • Oversee the development team and all projects they undertake, analyze briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, and develop work schedules.
  • Understand and handle environment configurations for AD & QA teams
  • System Analyst qualities required to build and maintain application architectures, flow diagrams & data architecture
  • Ability to dive into existing application code base to resolve functionality
  • Effectively communicate with project managers, business analysts and Tech Leads
  • Required to work in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Work embedded with well-established vendor team and ensure that key Domain Expertise is retained in CS
  • Clearly communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical partners across multiple regions
  • Ensure high-quality component-level design and implementation of strategic components through the entire software development process using multiple delivery models
  • Adhere to standard coding practices and deliver defect free product
  • Plan and conduct successful unit, performance, system, integration and acceptance testing, ensuring applications are able to meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements

You Offer
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of IT experience. Investment Banking Operations IT background ideal.

  • Extensive expertise in distributed technologies required - JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, WebLogic, WebSphere, SOAP-WSDL, JNDI, JDBC XML, Struts or AngularJS, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JavaScript and other related Web technologies; Unix/Linux experience is required. Sound knowledge of version control & debugging tools.
  • Experience in SQL* Plus, PL/SQL and stored procedures with various databases especially Oracle on Unix/Linux
  • Outstanding SQL skills, worked with Oracle DB and DBa huge plus
  • Knowledge on Open Source tools used in development process (like Subversion, Git, STAF)
  • Ability to analyze business problems and devise effective IT solutions.
  • Extensive practical software development experience with a "best-practices" mind-set
  • Strong incident diagnosing skills/Incident management
  • Comfortable working across a number of different technologies
  • Can work in a globally distributed team and adapt to an agile environment.
  • Able to write Junit scripts, test tools and test approaches, Test Driven Development. Able to enhance the existing code to testable code. Share and apply the knowledge of testing case writing upon join the team.
  • Financial business knowledge (i.e. Derivatives) desirable and Quality Assurance experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of Cloud based architectures and application development will be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills with experience of working with people spread across locations and time-zones
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
