We Offer
DvSZ Operation is a DvSZ specific function that provides expert troubleshooting services on Batch issues to application development teams. This is accomplished by a dedicated team maintaining life cycle management of data and ensuring successful application execution via Batch EDP processing.
Job requirements

  • Experience in Batch Monitoring operations
  • Monitor for, correct, escalate batch related issues
  • Coordinate and modify schedules for special requests and follow the Customer priorities
  • Respond expeditiously to requests for priority job execution
  • Notify the Customer if special requests will affect the timely completion of other work and provide schedule status updates
  • Follow JCL standards in supporting creation and testing of JCL
  • Invoke resolution and restart procedures in case of failures in the batch jobs
  • Check control totals and condition codes to monitor proper application executions as defined by the Customer
  • Monitor scheduled batch jobs and batch cycles, resolving any non-application scheduling conflicts
  • Execute re-runs as requested by the Customer and restart jobs according to operation procedures and documentation. Resolve abnormal terminations when appropriate
  • Follow the job run documentation and notify the Customer as appropriate and defined by the run documentation
  • Create incident reports for job abnormalities consistent with the Incident Management Process. Produce daily and monthly metrics on batch job executions, abend rates, etc.
  • Checking all the queues and ensure the batch completion
  • Ensures adherence against operational tools & process compliance
  • Data backed recommendations for service scalability, capacity and performance improvement
  • Ensures that their process and working practices are effective and efficient
  • Is involved in process automation decisions for their respective batch processes
  • Participation in Disaster/Recovery test on request
