Associate Analyst, Sales and Business Development – Asset Management

About The Role: Assists senior staff and head of ManCo in providing a variety of sales, market and product data and reporting. This role also serves as an analyst and administrator for the team’s Salesforce.com, client relationship management (CRM) tool and assists in the development and tracking of sales lead generation and follow-through programs.

Major Duties:

  • Serve as an analyst/administrator for the team’s Salesforce.com CRM tool. Design, create and deploy reports and dashboards to analyze key metrics, utilizing data from multiple sources. Participate on special projects and major initiatives to support and/or enhance the tool.

  • Use a variety of market data tools to analyze sales and market trends and prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly market updates as well as competitive analysis reports to support the firm’s distribution of investment solutions.

  • Assist head of ManCo by providing customized data and presentation materials to support specific client needs.

  • Collaborate and assist in the development and tracking of lead generation and follow-through programs.

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed by the team.

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Understanding of complex investment products and capital markets.

  • Strong analytic, organizational, interpersonal skills.

  • Self-starter who is able to understand the implication of market and economic events on investment performance and sales opportunities.

  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use a variety of digital sales, research and investment tools.

  • Analytical thinker who can uncover sales opportunities through diligent ongoing research on market trends, competitive information and sales data available in enterprise CRM

  • Ability to work well within a cross-functional team and take on ad-hoc responsibilities as needed

Experience Required:

  • BA/BS degree required, concentration in finance, marketing or other analytical field preferred.

  • Several years of asset management or related financial services industry experience required.

  • Strong expertise in Excel and Powerpoint required.

  • Understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com

  • Experience using MorningstarDirect and MeridianIQ is a plus
