An exciting new role has arisen within our Compliance Department for a Compliance Professional who is interested in developing a career in a compliance department which supports a Capital Markets business. The role will report to a Senior Compliance Manager.

An exciting new role has arisen within our Compliance Department for a Compliance Professional who is interested in developing a career in a compliance department which supports a Capital Markets business. The role will report to a Senior Compliance Manager.

The individual will be assisted in developing an expertise in the functioning of stock markets and applicable regulations and will over time have responsibility for assisting in the daily review and monitoring of trading activities and the preparation of compliance reports. The individual will also be involved in the trade execution, review and monitoring of staff dealing by employees of the firm.

The individual will work directly on ensuring that the firm is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements including the Market in Financial Instruments Regulations (MiFID II) and the new Market Abuse Regulations (MAR).

Responsibilities

  • Execute trades on behalf of members of staff;
  • Monitor daily trade staff trading activity for compliance with the firm’s staff dealing rules;
  • Monitor applicable regulations, such as the MAR and MiFID II regulations, Stock Exchange Rules, and Takeover Panel Requirements;
  • Assist in the performance of thematic reviews and reports on market activity;
  • Assist the daily monitoring activities of the business;
  • Liaise with the Central Bank of Ireland and other Regulators as required;
  • Support and assist other team personnel on particular compliance initiatives/projects; and
  • Maintain strong communications with staff across different departments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree level in business related discipline (2:1 or higher);
  • An interest in regulation particularly around the area of capital markets;
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills are essential;
  • Ability to self-motivate and work to own deadlines; and
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and strong communication skills.
