Our client is currently rapidly expanding and are seeking a VP to join their Fund Accounting team

Role Description:
The Vice President is a senior member of the Fund Accounting team who will be primarily responsible for overseeing the NAV production process and ensuring accurate and timely calculation of the NAV in line with procedures. The production manager will be responsible for ensuring all deliverables are met within the Service Level Agreements. They will also be a senior point of contact for collaborating across functions and with all locations within the distributed operating model. The Vice President will be an escalation point for ensuring all issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner.

The Vice President will:
Act as a point of escalation for complex issues which arise in the team
Ability to investigate & validate NAV movement.
Assist and manage the team to ensure the delivery of the daily/weekly/ad hoc/monthly NAV production and price dissemination.
Ensure adherence to a defined control environment
Identification of risks and implementation of remediation on the same
Manage resource planning of the team while partnering with wider teams
Escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner, working with colleagues in the Service Delivery team.
Maintain an excellent and interactive relationship with internal partners including Client Services, Custody, Product and Transfer Agency.
Proactively assist and play a key role in the people management/development of all members of the team
Participate in and/or lead department initiatives & group projects as appropriate
Lead Client Due Diligence visits along with Internal and External audit reviews

Key Responsibilities of the Fund Accounting NAV Operations Team:
Responsible for the timely accurate calculation of the NAV.
Ownership and responsibility of the end to end NAV Operating model, both locally and across multiple locations.
Establish effective working relationships with key contacts internally and externally.
Understand all deliverables and implications of missed SLA's.
Maintain a green Fund Accounting scorecard rating with the clients.
Regularly review and ensure the team is operating within an appropriate control environment.


Skills/attributes & required experience:
Experience a managing a Fund Accounting Team at this level
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
In-depth knowledge of the treatment of complex financial instruments in the NAV and NAV drivers.
Strong Client management skills and ability to build key relationships.
Experience managing a distributed operating model and constituent parts.
Good understanding of exception based validation.
Demonstrate an ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Ability to make sound decisions, including escalation when appropriate
Strong management and organization skills.
Very strong understanding of the financial markets, investment types and accounting and pricing policies.
Risk, control and procedure orientated.
