We are seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Risk Analyst/ Regulatory Risk Specialist to join our Risk Department. The successful applicant will assume ownership and accountability for the Regulatory and Prudential Risk framework, building upon the existing processes to enhance and further embed the culture and governance pertaining to regulatory risk within the business.

Position: Senior Regulatory Risk Analyst/ Regulatory Risk Specialist

Reporting to: Chief Risk Officer

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for the regulatory related aspects of the Risk function (in particular UCITS, AIFMD, Solvency II)
  • Keeping abreast of both regulatory developments from a Risk perspective and emerging best practice in Enterprise Risk Management, assuming ownership for implementation of same as required
  • Ownership and development of Governance aspects of the Risk Framework, ensuring review and documentation of policies and controls, ownership of Regulatory Risk aspects of Company Projects, Board Risk Reporting processes, etc.
  • Liaising with Group regarding their Risk Policies and overseeing the adoption of these locally, having regard to local entity specificities
  • Point of contact for all Central Bank of Ireland and regulatory updates for the Risk Department (manage regulatory reporting process for Board and regulator)
  • Co-ordination of the Product Oversight and Governance from Risk perspective
  • Assist with development of the RMP, ICAAP and ORSA processes
  • Recommend enhancements in Risk Processes: assist the Lines of Business (including Compliance, Investments Departments) with analysis, providing oversight, expertise and problem solving
  • Identify, assess and report on regulatory risk controls and indicators in line with existing regulations and preparing for future changes, embed the regulatory risk process within the business and continually improve same

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree or Postgraduate degree a minimum requirement.
  • Professional Risk related qualification (PRM, FRM, CAIA) an advantage
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ work experience in a financial services environment in the Regulatory/Legal Risk area
  • Balanced experience with both qualitative and quantitative aspects of risk management
  • Understanding of Risk from the regulatory perspective
  • Awareness of financial services products (including Bonds /Equities / Derivatives) and regulations (including AIFMD / UCITS / Solvency/ CRD)
  • Previous Experience in Fund / Asset Management a pre-requisite
  • Excel proficiency a minimum requirement
