Role/ Department:
The Senior Consultant, within Custody Client Services is responsible for supporting the controlled migration of in scope custody and Banking clients to the Northern Trust Irish Branch. The role provides structure, pace and transparency across a complex, cross-functional program while maintaining a strong focus on client outcomes, operational readiness, risk management and regulatory delivery.
Working as a highly collaborative individual contributor, the individual will coordinate multiple client migrations, workstreams and stakeholders across Client Services, Relationship Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, Technology and other partner functions. The role ensures that plans, dependencies, decisions and client impacts are actively managed through to implementation and stabilisation.
This role is ideal for a project management professional who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, partnering across functions and delivering meaningful change. It offers the opportunity to shape a significant client and operating model transition while strengthening expertise in custody, regulatory change and enterprise delivery.

- Coordinate and oversee Custody and Banking delivery activities associated with the Irish Branch migration project, ensuring effective alignment and execution in partnership with the Senior Project Manager.
- Develop and maintain an integrated migration plan covering client, operational, legal, regulatory, technology, data and change activities.
- Coordinate client-level and operational readiness and ensure migration requirements, decisions, risks and actions are clearly owned and progressed.
- Protect the client experience by aligning the future service operating model, communications, implementation activity and transition support.
- Provide clear governance, reporting and escalation to support timely decision-making and accountable delivery.
- Apply disciplined risk and control management throughout planning, execution, cutover and post-migration stabilisation.
- Support the end-to-end migration of impacted custody and banking clients to the Irish Branch.
- Maintain a client migration inventory and status view, including scope, complexity, key contacts, milestones, document requirements, dependencies, risks and readiness criteria.
- Partner with Relationship Managers, Client Service Delivery Managers, Service Managers and other client-facing teams to understand each client's business, servicing requirements and migration impacts.
- Coordinate proactive, clear and consistent client communications, ensuring queries, concerns and decisions are addressed or escalated promptly.
- Support client due diligence, service reviews, implementation discussions and the preparation of relevant management information where required.
- Ensure the proposed service operating model is understood, documented and aligned across the client and internal delivery teams.
- Provide enhanced oversight for complex or strategic client migrations and support a seamless transition into the Irish Branch service model.
- Develop, maintain and control detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, actions, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
- Coordinate migration workstreams ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, sequencing, ownership and expected outcomes.
- Establish clear delivery standards, readiness criteria and evidence requirements for each migration stage.
- Monitor progress against agreed plans, identify potential roadblocks and proactively recommend solutions to keep delivery on track.
- Maintain decision, issue and action logs and ensure overdue or high-impact items are actively escalated.
- Coordinate implementation, cutover and post-migration support plans, including operational readiness, contingency arrangements and lessons learned.
- Track key deliverables, client outcomes and benefits realisation measures, reporting variances and recovery actions.
- Partner with business, operations, technology, data, product, legal, compliance, risk, tax and other functional teams to drive execution and alignment.
- Facilitate working sessions, workstream meetings, planning sessions and issue-resolution forums.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of coordination for migration-related questions, connecting the appropriate subject-matter experts and ensuring responses are tracked to closure.
- Prepare accurate and concise governance materials, status reports, dashboards, executive summaries and decision papers for leadership stakeholders.
- Provide a clear view of overall program health, client readiness, milestone performance, key decisions, risks, issues, dependencies and required interventions.
- Ensure governance forums are purposeful, supported by quality materials and followed by timely actions and documented decisions.
- Use management information and trend analysis to identify emerging concerns, delivery bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain project documentation and critical client information in agreed repositories, with appropriate version control and audit evidence.
- Embed a strong risk and control focus across all migration activity, ensuring client, operational, legal, regulatory and conduct risks are identified, assessed, owned and mitigated.
- Ensure migration activities comply with applicable policies, procedures, governance standards and risk management programs.
- Coordinate readiness assessments and evidence that required controls, procedures, access, data, documentation and operational arrangements are in place before migration.
- Escalate material risks, issues, control gaps or client impacts promptly and support the development of practical remediation plans.
- Support change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training and adoption activities to embed new capabilities and processes.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and on-the-job support for partners involved in the future-state service model.
- Identify opportunities to simplify migration activity, improve straight-through processing, reduce manual effort and strengthen the client service offering.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving to address complex business challenges and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Capture lessons learned and convert them into repeatable standards, templates, controls and process improvements for subsequent migrations.

- Working knowledge of custody, asset servicing and the service operating model supporting institutional clients.
- Strong project management experience, preferably within financial services or another regulated environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across various jurisdictions, clients and workstreams.
- Demonstrated experience managing project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, governance processes, readiness assessments and executive reporting.
- Financial services experience is preferred; custody, asset servicing, client onboarding, legal entity migration or regulatory change experience would be advantageous.
- Relevant project management qualification is desirable.
- Impacted clients progress through agreed migration milestones with ownership, evidence and governance.
- Client communications are timely, coordinated and aligned to the migration plan and future service model.
- Risks, issues and dependencies are identified early, escalated appropriately and resolved with minimal impact to clients or operations.
- Operational, control and stakeholder readiness criteria are met before implementation and managed closely post-migration.
- Leadership receives concise, accurate and decision-oriented reporting.
- Migration lessons are captured and used to improve the delivery approach for subsequent client waves.
