SENIOR ANALYST - ALTERNATIVE ASSETS
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
• Completion and delivery of target fund offering documentation for subscription, redemption and switch orders on behalf of Northern Trust clients
• Creation of new fund asset set-up process to enable order placement
• Processing of fund order related cash wires
• Liaise with target transfer agents relating to fund orders placed on behalf of Northern Trust clients
• Communication of corporate action notifications to impacted clients and delivery of same as required.
• Liaise directly with clients and their client representatives within Northern Trust to ensure transparency surrounding the placement of client orders
• Liaise with ancillary departments within Northern Trust to ensure service dependencies are maintained
• Ensure contact databases are updated regularly with Transfer Agent details and all documentation is current.

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to Team Leader and Section Manager
• Delegation of work load to team partners as required
• Represent the Alternative Assets Department on client calls, building and maintaining key client relationships
• Ensure internal and external deadlines for processing dealing, wire payments, Corporate Events and system controls are met
• Improve processes through tactical and strategic initiatives
• Contribute to requirements gathering, testing and implementation phases of any change projects in which the team is a stakeholder
• Develop and implement internal control procedures
• Prepare status reports and volume analysis for the unit
• Act as primary resource on training and cross-training employees
• Oversight of settlements processes including management fee rebates, third party payments, equalization, side pockets, distributions and series collapses/roll ups associated with fund of funds

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• The Alternative Asset servicing team operate in a dynamic, time bound and client focused work environment. The skills required for a successful candidate in such a work environment include;
• Experience in securities operations/security transactions and/or a Transfer Agent environment would be an advantage
• Proven ability to work effectively within strict deadlines
• Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Good client relationship experience
• Understanding of legal structure of funds and regulatory requirements is desirable
• Knowledge of KYC, AML and compliance regulation is beneficial
