The Risk Operating Framework (ROF) team is part of the Enterprise Risk Management team which reports directly to the Group CRO. Its main mission is to ensure that the risk management framework is operating effectively across Generali organization, more precisely. to ensure that: 

  • Risks are well identified across the Group using consistent methodologies 
  • Risks are timely reported and with sufficient relevance to ensure decision-making 
  • Risks are taken at an operational level in compliance with our risk appetite 
  • Risk mitigating measures are in place for risks falling outside our risk appetite 
  • Generali complies with external requirements on risk reporting (ORSA, GSII, Annual Report, etc.) 
Within ROF, the ORSA, Policy and Governance unit is in particular focused on Solvency II Pillar II tasks including: 

  • ORSA process coordination at Group level and preparation of Generali Group and Assicurazioni Generali reports, 
  • Coordination of the risk contributions to the Solvency and Financial Condition Report and Regular Supervisory Report, 
  • Risk report to the Financial statement preparation, 
  • Coordination of risk governance related sections in other internal and public reports, 
  • Lead of Main Risk Assessment process and the Group emerging risk processes, 
  • Assessment of the Group system risk relevance within the Group Systemic Risk Management Plan, 
  • Definition and up-to date maintenance of the overall risk management process and governance as part of the Group Risk Management policy and as part of recovery process and governance, 
  • Steering of the Group Risk management policy implementation at Group level.

 

The position refers to an overall support within the reports coordination and preparation, including the support to Group entities. Moreover operative tasks will be requested within the risk identification phase.

His / her main missions will be: 

  • To support the team in the documents preparation, both in English and Italian 
  • To support the team in the contributions collection according to the defined working plan and review their consistency and accuracy 
  • To actively support risk discussions (by taking minutes and supporting meeting preparation) for main qualitative risks (including emerging risks, strategic risks etc) 
  • To support the steering of the Group Risk Management policy local adoption.  

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have 

  • Previous experience (stage, brief experience etc.) in actuarial, risk, audit or financial department 
  • Have a Master Degree, possibly in MIRM (Master in Insurance and Risk Management) or similar 
  • Knowledge of Solvency II framework and insurance financial statement 
  • IT skills for Office package 
  • Be fluent in English and Italian both in writing and in speaking 

Nice to have 
  • Master another language
  • Previous brief experience 
  • Communication skills are essential for this role which is interfacing several functions 
  • Preparedness to study regulatory frameworks 
  • Ability to collect information and re-organize and report them in an effective and organized way is of critical importance for this job 
  • Target oriented, capacity to deliver under high/intensive workload
