Job Description
ANALYST/ ASSOC position to provide post-trade Operations support to the Japan Fixed Income Sales & Trading franchise across a wide range of products (Securities, FX and OTC Derivatives). Team's functions include Trade Management (Trader & Sales Support), Drafting & Affirmations, Settlements, Client Valuation, Local Regulatory Reporting and Internal Controls & Projects. The role involves coordination with various internal stakeholders to facilitate business, efficiency, control and regulatory initiatives, thus requiring active engagement & partnership at local and global levels in order to drive our firm's strategic deliveries.

Job Function/Responsibilities

  • Trade booking into risk management systems and e2e processing downstream to accounting, settlements and collateral along the transaction lifecycle
  • Maintenance and control of trade events, confirmation drafting and review against legal documents
  • Trade PnL review, Risk analysis for Linear and Non-Linear products
  • Partner with FO, Business manager, Technology and other Support Partners to initiate, coordinate and develop new business and strategic operational agendas
  • Review of Operational & Regulatory metrics, control and escalation (STP, Nostros, Affirmations, Late trades, Off-Market trades, Cancel & Amends, Clearing, GTR, Execution platform, NCMR, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with global and local regulatory reporting requirements
  • Run and deliver efficiency agendas, streamline processes and increase capacity within the teams
  • Oversight of the Offshore Hub locations in APAC, India, EMEA, NA and Latam.

Job Requirements
  • Display strong drive and enthusiasm, be highly numerate and analytical, able to value a product applying basic principles and understand its risk factors
  • Team worker with strong communication skills and flexible mindset to changes.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a pressurized, fast paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines to meet on a regular basis
  • Promptness and accuracy, control focused, client focused
  • Knowledge of OTC derivatives/ Bonds/ FX and preferably prior experience in Trade support or Sales support functions
  • Compliance / Regulation / Market knowledge
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (at least basic Japanese proficiency is preferred)
  • JSDA 1 st and 2 nd class Sales Representative license holders
  • Strong PC Skills particularly with Excel, VBA, Word and PowerPoint
