Central Compliance


SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.

Primary Objectives

  • Perform Central Compliance related tasks and missions, including but not limited to Permanent Supervision (self-assessment), 2nd line of control, risk assessment, registration and filing
  • Support other Compliance teams (Financial Crime Unit, Advisory etc)
  • Correspond to the requirement, inquiry and inspection from regulators and SROs
  • Maintain Policies and relevant rules including local and global
  • Provide training session to internal staff


Major Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate periodic compliance self-assessment in cooperation with Advisory Compliance (for business related 2nd line controls) and other compliance stakeholders (for non-business related 2nd line controls)
  • Support FCU in relation to AML, KYC and Sanction & Embargo related control framework
  • Conduct appropriate control of Rules and Procedures
  • Support for FSA and other regulator / association's Inspection
  • Preparation of regulatory reports and change of corporate registration
  • Other perspective job


Key Skill Areas & Knowledge Required

  • Min. 3 years of internal audit and / or Compliance background
  • Ability to assess operational compliance
  • Self motivated, committed and result oriented
  • Comprehensive knowledge for Banking Law, FIEA, APTCP (KYC) and other relevant laws / regulations
  • Native (or professional) Japanese skill and good communication skill in English
  • Reporting skill to the regulatory agencies
  • Reporting skill to the internal managements
  • Strong Excel and Power-point skills
