Support business on a daily basis, ensure completeness of all transactions, prepare journal entries, generate management and financial reports to the holding companies and management;
Check invoices or billings before payment to ensure appropriateness and completeness, and coordinate with local employee reimbursement.
Perform net capital regulatory ratio calculation;
Perform month end and regular financial data analysis and reconciliations;
Review monthly reporting to regulators and head office;
Devise policies and procedures for business processes from financial control perspective;
Liaise with external professional firms, accounting firms, and tax consultants;
Skills and Abilities
4-5 years’ experience in Big 4 audit firms/financial reporting function
In-depth understanding of the Japan and International Accounting Standards for financial industry;
Knowledge in securities broking business and financial products;
Knowledge in Japan FSA regulatory rules is definitely an advantage;
Good numerical and analytical skills;
Good interpersonal skills, and able to work independently;
Good command of English and Putonghua;
Good computer skills (excel, word, etc)
Qualifications
University graduate (major in Accounting);
Qualified accountant, CPA under ACCA /other recognized accounting bodies
