Infrastructure Support Professional

A small, global financial services firm is seeking an experienced finance IT professional to join their regional team.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Provide top-class level 1 and 2 support across desktops and applications to users based in Japan and overseas when required.
  • Assist regional and global teams with project delivery, for example in migrations and hardware/software changes.
  • Work closely with the regional manager to ensure BCP plans are in place and the Japan office can be prepared for disaster.
  • Ensure the Japan office adheres to global security policy and work closely with the regional security team to mitigate risks.
  • Work on documentation for all elements of infra and support, and make sure documentation is up to date for future knowledge transfer/growth.

Required skills
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in Windows desktop support will be required along with some knowledge of server administration.
  • Experience working with telephony systems, mobile and VOIP and LAN technologies, and also solid vendor management skills.
  • Bilingual skills are key in this role, you must be comfortable supporting staff who may not have strong English skills.

Preferred skills
  • Knowledge of financial services would be a huge plus, candidates with experience working in a large global bank or similar will be given preference.
  • Experience rolling out projects with guidance from global counterparts would be beneficial.
