Job Description
The Role / Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the position will be to lead the Global Mobility function for the EMEA region. This involves managing the administration of global mobility programs (on a regional basis), including relocation, immigration and expatriate assignment programs. Provide recommendations and support to the Business and Human Resources on all global mobility-related issues. Directly and remotely supervise/manage one staff based in Vilnius, Lithuania

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the Global Mobility function and ensure adherence to expected SLA's.

• Hold responsibility for all EMEA based Global Mobility related transactions.

• Act as a subject matter expert for the EMEA based Global Mobility function and the broader EMEA based business on all mobility related transactions.

• Act as a regional escalation point for any issues that require exceptions or fall outside of established governance parameters.

• Act as a key liaison between external immigration counsel and business partners for all immigration matters on a regional basis.

• Supervise all global mobility and other assignment-related issues, provide or oversee services prior to the assignment, during the assignment and during repatriation/localization including assignment cost analysis, expatriate orientations, vendor coordination, preparation of assignment balance sheets, letters of understanding, develop and conduct expatriate training and communications for staff, clients, business leaders, and assignees, and manage engagement financials.

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations and relationships with external vendors, including reviewing and approving Global Mobility related invoices.

• Authorize all relocation aspects of employee transfers, including immigration, arrangement for tax consultants, shipping companies, relocation firms, etc. and conduct pre and post assignment briefings.

• Provide mobility-related expertise consultation and authorize cost estimates to Line of Business.

• Collaborate with the HR business partners, Talent Acquisition and the Global Mobility team to provide advice, ensure compliance with policies, manage exceptions and act as the coordination point between Home and Host HR staff, external relocation, tax and immigration partners and the transferring employee.

• Track and report mobility-related costs for transferees and assignees.

• Work with Finance and local HR to ensure the proper cross-charge of expenses.

• Work with Payroll, Tax Consultants and/or Finance to ensure that shadow payroll activities, tax and accounting activities are executed and reconciled appropriately

• Produce metrics for key stakeholders.


Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years demonstrated HR experience, specifically managing global mobility, preferably within the global financial services sectors

• Extensive working knowledge of regional immigration requirements and relocation of employees, specifically understanding regional/international relocation activity, and a familiarity with international tax issues, compensation and payroll processes

• Strong oversight skills, with a focus on team development

• Good quality management skills are required in this role, which includes good people skills - this can include managing regional client, assignee, employee and supplier relationships

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Excellent communication skills at the business and technical levels

• High degree of integrity and confidentiality

• Proven influencing, negotiation and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Ability to work in a team environment
