Operational Risk Manager (M/F)

 Context :
The Group Operational Risk Control (GORC) has launched a major overhaul of its framework, procedures and tools to accelerate the digitization of its processes to support centers of expertise and collaborative relationship throughout the KBL Group. The central information system for operational risk control will feature a process based RCSA definition with failure mode analysis, a linked incident management with integrated remediation plans, scheduled and interactive 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense test plans and rule-driven workflows. In addition, interactive dashboards will transform data into relevant information.

In this context and to reinforce the GORC Team, we are searching for an Operational Risk Manager.

 
Job Responsibilities :
The risk control function is in charge of the anticipation, identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of all the risks to which the bank is or may be exposed. In this context, the Operational Risk Manager will:

  • Participate to the set-up of an improved Operational Risk Framework.
  • Support and challenge business owners when identifying and assessing the risks induced by their activities and appropriateness of the control.
  • Ensure strong relationship with the 1st LoD and challenge the dataset of operational incidents. Challenge analysis and justification, follow up on root cause analysis and remediation actions.
  • Participate actively, as part of the monitoring plan to the coverage of "key controls" as well as "non key controls" to ensure high risks are covered and internal control is reliable and effective.
  • Participate to the implementation of all the recommendations raised by the regulators (CSSF & ECB) in order to enhance the Operational Risk Control framework.

 
Qualifications :
- Education: Economics, Finance, Business, Law - University degree or equivalent experience

- Sound knowledge of the functioning of banking industry, products, services and processes

- Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma methodology and tools would be an asset

- 3-5 years in a similar control function

- Ability to work with Excel and Access

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of an international team.

- Strong analytical skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Good business judgment

 
Languages :
- English and French are required,
- Additional language (i.e German, Dutch, ...) could be foreseen as an advantage
