We are looking for a Tax Analyst with experience in VAT for our client a PE house with its office in Luxembourg City. This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The Job

We are looking for VAT tax officer to join a PE house who is willing to develop his knowledge in corporate tax, FATCA, and Transfer Pricing.

The successful candidate will be assigned responsibility for assisting the Tax Manager. As such, he/she will have primary responsibility for the following important functions or areas:

·Be part of the coordination process for corporate tax, VAT filings, foreign tax and transfer pricing computation and documentation;
·Review tax assessments received and dispatch payments among Financial Controllers;
·Perform first review of non-complex Luxembourg corporate tax returns and escalate exceptions to Tax Manager;
·Assist with the preparation of functional currency requests and other communications to the tax authorities;
·Assist the Tax Manager with reviewing complex Luxembourg tax returns;
·Assist the Tax Manager with transfer pricing related matters;
·Assist the Tax Manager with current projects (automation, processes documentation, etc.);
·Assist the Tax Manager with deal related requests;
·Monitor and sort tax related mail received by post and escalate key items to Tax Manager;
·Review tax invoices received from tax providers and be part of the approval process;
·Perform various administrative tasks to support the activity of the Luxembourg tax department.

The Candidate Profile

·3-5 years experience in Luxembourg VAT tax;
·Previous experience at a Luxembourg private equity / real estate house or in Big-4 is an asset;
·Business or law school with a concentration in tax law;
·Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce qualification in tax is an advantage.
·Excellent command of English in both written and verbal communication; French or German is an advantage.
·Strong understanding of Luxembourg tax filing requirements;
·Strong ability to multi-task;
·Deadline oriented;
·Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment;
·Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel;
·Team-oriented and must possess strong integrity and professionalism;
·Process and project oriented;
