Function Background/Context:
Responsible to lead the team to drive Customer Retention through proactive and reactive retention actions based on profitability segmentation, loyalty metrics and portfolio behaviour on Cards products. This is a key component to drive Net Customer Growth for the franchise.
Responsible to lead the team to drive Fee Revenue lines on Cards products by optimizing realization of Annual Fees and Risk Based Fees or any other new fee(s), increasing fee paying base, drive engagement with inactive customers and reducing revenue impact of non-profitable segments.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to two fold:
  • Achieve Cards P&L plan goals for the fee lines.
  • Achieve the established goals for Retention (Net Customer Growth).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize & develop strategy plans to deliver plan targets on Customer Attrition to achieve Net Customer Growth while maximizing Fees.
  • Optimize decisions on Retention and Fees to maximize profitability and retention of the Cards customer
  • Ensure the execution on Retention and Fee activities are monitored closely to achieve plans/forecast numbers.
  • Ensure accuracy of forecasting numbers for customer attrition and fees on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.
  • Work with internal departments e.g. risk management, decision management, finance and sales to ensure marketing & test programs are properly executed in a timely manner with the approved strategies, policies, and marketing budgets.
  • Provide clear direction and communication to the advertising agency in devising, producing and execution of A&M work
  • Monitor and analyze performance marketing programs (monthly & quarterly dashboards) and to ensure results are on track, and if not, to identify problems/issues and rectify them
  • Ensure compliance in all internal and external dealings with customers, partners and regulators
  • Monitor and ensure actions are put in place within a specific timeline should there be a gap in in any compliance breach


Qualifications

Qualifications and Competencies
  • Min Degree in Business or equivalent
  • Minimally 6 years of related experience in handling retention management, credit cards, banking and/or such similar industries
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Strong execution skills
  • Indepth understanding on execution & credit card processes.
  • Experience in risk & data management would be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills and experienced with managing relationships.
  • Detailed and meticulous.
  • Committed with the desire to achieve goals and targets.
  • A strong team player
