General Ledger Operations

  • Provide services & support to GLP, Financial Reporting & other Business unit.
  • Provide support and advice on all matters related to Oracle General Ledger ("GL"), Accounts Receivable ("AR") for tax invoice, and Internet Expense ("IE") for staff claim.
  • Daily operations:
- approve GL journals posting and payment for staff claim
- validate tax invoice/credit note issuance
- monitor the reconciliation of GL control accounts and SIBs GL reconciliation
  • Provide support and advice on SIBS accounting for new product or system enhancement and maintain SIBS accounting set up.
  • Participate in projects from other source system involving Oracle GL.
  • Drive system enhancement for Oracle GL/AR/IE in tandem with the Business, industry or regulatory requirement.
  • Maintain/update GL intranet webpage and assist to oversee finance intranet webpage.
  • Monthly GL tax reconciliation & reporting


Qualifications
  • Graduate with 1-2 years working experience or studying for a degree or undertaking professional papers in accounting are encouraged to apply.
  • Analytical and problem solving skill.
  • Possess good communication skill.
  • Must be a team player and able to work late (sometime may need to work on weekend/public holiday/Early morning(Half yearly DR exercise/night (if there is project cutover).
  • Able to work under pressure & independently.
  • Good PC knowledge especially Microsoft Excel.
