Learning & Development

  • To develop, coordinate and drive comprehensive Islamic banking knowledge program within the bank covering aspect of e-learning, training and certification as well as instilling continuous Islamic banking awareness culture to all stakeholders as espoused in BNM's Shariah Governance Framework.
  • Responsible to conduct in-house Islamic banking training sessions as per the annual Islamic Banking Training Plan and upon request by Business Units.
Internal Compliance & Administrative
  • To manage internal department's compliance matter with regard to dissemination of regulatory policy, Regulatory Requirement Self-Assessment (RRSA), Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Business Contingency Plan (BCP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and others
  • Manage department's administration matter such as purchase of stationeries, document management, asset management, flight and hotel booking, update Shariah SharePoint, etc
  • Other compliance assignment as required from time to time.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Shariah/Islamic Banking/Islamic Finance which includes study in Usul Fiqh (the origin of Islamic Law) and/or Fiqh Muamalat (Islamic Commercial Law)
  • Must have ability to develop and conduct Islamic banking training and awareness programme for the bank
  • Possess strong Islamic finance knowledge and background including current issues and development in Islamic finance
  • Possess good oral/written communication and co-ordination skills; and able to interact well with people at different levels
  • A risk-conscious person who ensures internal controls and procedures are complied with closely
  • Working experience in handling internal compliance matters
  • Able to work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision
