Manager, Product Management & Acquisition

Job Purpose Summary

To manage HLB's range of Commercial Cards (i.e. Purchasing, SME, Platinum Business and Corporate Cards) from product development, enhancement of product value proposition to acquisition and usage offer. Responsible for the achievement of acquisition targets set for Commercial Cards. To formulate marketing and sales strategies to grow market share of Commercial Cards through CIF growth, continued competitiveness of product in the market and to ensure continued profitability of product portfolio. Monitor and analyse product / marketing campaign performance and to ensure that results are on track. To identify and rectify problems or issues, if any, to ensure product / campaign effectiveness. The candidate should have digital aptness, analytical mindset and have the ability to adapt to global best practices where required; with an entrepreneurial mindset and go-getter attitude.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Functional (job responsibilities)

  • Product Manager has overall responsibility in developing product intent and strategy for Commercial Cards to achieve the established business goals through effective planning, implementation and control of all aspects of product development and marketing process.
  • Manage and identify credit card cross-sell opportunities via sales channels such as GSME and BCB
  • Monitor and analysed performance of all Commercial Cards to ensure results are on track
  • Contribute constructively and creatively in the planning and implementation stages of all programs to drive maximum product awareness, sales, conversion and loyalty.
  • Cultivate strong relationship with internal stakeholders (for example: credit, compliance, sales channels)
  • Work with respective internal departments to ensure the programs are properly executed in a timely manner with the approved promotion strategies, credit policies, communication plans and marketing budgets.
  • Provide clear direction and communication to the relevant advertising agencies in devising, producing and execution of the advertising work, which will communicate the product positioning and the agreed objectives of the programs.
  • Work with sales channels to drive Commercial Cards sales and to ensure successful via high take-up/conversion rate.
  • Monitor and analyse performance of all programs to ensure results are on track and if not, to identify the problems/issues and recommend solutions to rectify them.
  • Monitor competitor's market intelligence, benchmarking against competitors and global industry practices.
  • To manage allocated marketing budget and evaluate P&L impact to deliver maximum return on investment.
  • Ensure compliance in all internal and external dealings with customers.
