Risk & Prevention (Policy & Project)

Regulatory compliance

  • Provide compliance advisory and communications to Business Units
  • Work with Business Units in compliance review and assessment (e.g. via gap analysis conducted on policy papers) as well as development of action plans for compliance (i.e. engage and work in collaboration with Business Units to develop action plans/controls to address regulatory requirements).
  • Work with Business Units on feedback for concept/consultation papers issued by regulatory bodies/authorities/industry bodies (e.g. BNM, SC, ABM, etc.).

Internal Policies and Procedures
  • Review business practices, policies and procedures (policy papers/manuals/LOP) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Bank's policies and risk management standards.

Documentation Review
  • Product due diligence (new product and product variations)
  • Marketing material review

Compliance projects
  • Participate in projects or assignments to contribute feedback in respect of compliance and risk requirements

Compliance trainings and awareness
  • To drive risk and prevention culture within CFS.


Qualifications
  • At least degree level or equivalent education or experience.
  • At least 5 years working experience and knowledge in compliance
  • Experience in Operational Risk and Control matters is an added advantage.
  • Ability to lead, manages, support and motivate team member, including monitoring performance or results driven.
  • Ability to build effective internal and external stakeholder relationships including demonstrated networking and negotiation skills and ability to manage working groups.
  • Good written English skill with ability to research and write accessible, clear policies or procedure documents for a range of audiences.
  • Good communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of seniority, including ability to convey complex information in an accessible way.
  • Able to manage projects, weigh up conflicting demands and make decisions independently.
  • Able to work effectively as a member of team.
  • Pleasant personality with good working attitude, able to work independently and as a member of team, and has sense of urgency and able to work within tight deadlines and able to multi-task independently with confidence.
