Seeking ambitious and dynamic individual to join our Actuarial team as a Senior Manager in Pricing. This role will report to the Chief Technical Officer, with the core objective of supporting our growing business to ensure sustainable and profitable growth. This role will work closely with the senior management team in making strategic decisions related to product, portfolio management and distribution. The candidate would be responsible for driving and leading the pricing, product development and portfolio monitoring initiatives for motor and other products, interacting extensively with Underwriting, Marketing, Finance and Risk departments as well as the Regional Actuarial team.


  • Contribute in Management and Strategic Initiatives 
  • Support the senior management team in developing strategic initiatives to grow our business especially in retail lines of business, seeing the initiativesthrough to implementation 
  • Participate in the Pricing & Product Committee meetings and provide challenge in decision making 
  • Maintain  up  to  date  knowledge  of  local  market  intelligence,  trends  and  developments  in  general insurance (company, product, industry), local and global actuarial practices, etc. 
  • Work closely with Appointed Actuary to in business planning and monitoring 
  • Lead the pricing team in performing day-to-day pricing related tasks 
  • Set up and implement best practice pricing guidelines, process and control cycle in compliance to Pricing
  • Develop and roll out suitable tools for assumptionssetting and pricing model validation for better governance, technical accuracy and monitoring 
  • Promote  knowledge  sharing;  training  the  pricing  teams  and  other  departments  on  technical concepts and understanding of customer pricing 
  • Establish a data analytics capability for producing management information reports 
  • Lead and guide the MI team in performing experienceanalysis and profitability monitoring of the main portfolios on a regular basis 
  • Present  findings  to  the  Pricing  &  Product  Committee and  provide  appropriate  recommendations  and remediation
  • Contribute  and  drive  new  product  ideas,  changes  to  existing  products  and conduct  product  feasibility study to ensure attractive customer value propositions 



  • Qualified or part qualified actuary with at least 7-8 years of experience in pricing and product development of retail products 
  • Proven track record of technical pricing, portfoliomanagement, analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent  communication  skills  with  sound  mathematical  aptitude  with  business  acumen  and  strategic thinking 
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated 
  • Experience of dealing with senior management team would be an added advantage
