PURPOSE:
Security Technology Services (STS) is a critical function within Standard Chartered Bank operating under the overall purview of "Technology Services" .
The STS team is made up of cyber security thought leaders, who are accountable for the provision of a global set of cyber security services and products in order to maintain and continuously improve Bank's cyber security posture in today's ever evolving cyber security landscape.
The STS team protect the Bank from cyber security threats by delivering effective information security technology services, managing and responding to security incidents to ensure, and support the continuity and growth of Bank's business operations; and meet the both internal and external stakeholders' expectations across 70+ countries and territories, in which SCB operates.
As part of the Security Transformation activities within SCB, a new position is required as part of the current Reporting team to develop solution in centralising Cyber Security related data. This requires a highly skilled and experienced Data leader to be part of the team and to provide data capability in improving Bank's security posture in order protect the Bank from complex cyber threats.
This role required to develop technical solutions to Cyber Security problems, or to advance the efficiency of data efforts, begins with defining, designing, analyzing and implementing requirements. A Senior Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
· Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
· Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
· Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
· Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
· Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
· Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

KEY STAKEHOLDERS:
· All Service head within Security Technology Services.
· Information Security office from the office of CISO.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS):
· Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
· Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
· Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau etc), databases (Oracle etc), ETL frameworks.
· Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel etc)
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
· Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
· Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of energy, dedication and an unrelenting drive to success and win
· Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation's goal. Exudes confidence and will roll-up his/her sleeves to drive success
· Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn't work and what does
· Strong Technical skills and good understanding in data with proven experience.
· Ability to lead and control programme and/or project management in the context of a significant amount of change
· Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation; technical reporting writing across various types of tareget audiences.
· Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Informaiton Technology or its equivalent
