Principal Accountabilities

Plan, manage and control trade settlement for primarily broker dealer and also all other accounts assigned by VP Settlement. The holder will liaise closely with VP Settlement to achieve optimal working efficiency and people management and provide leave coverage to other officers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and advise clients on settlement issues related to our operations, including settlement, payments, cash management and other securities related matters;
  • Coordinates and review that all standing instructions and SLA are updated and in place.
  • Assist and advise clients on achieving higher level of straight through processing.
  • Conduct service review discussions and identify operational improvements;
  • Provide supervision to Account Administrator by regularly monitoring/reviewing their performance, improving work environment and identifying their training needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and achieve cost savings;
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.


Qualifications


Skills & Attributes
  • A recognised degree with 2 to 5 years of experience in custody and clearing environment ;
  • Job holder is expected to have a strong inclination towards providing excellent customer service ;
  • Job holder should have good sense of co-ordination , with s trong & effective interpersonal skills as well as a high standard of leadership are essential to ensure a motivated workforce ;
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia are essen Good command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.
