Assistant Manager - IT Infrastructure (ITA)

Our professionals assist clients to focus on fundamental business issues that help increase revenues, control costs, identify and manage risks including the risks inherent in the technology systems used to support business objectives. IT Advisory Services also provides information to clients to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Our service offerings are closely aligned to our client's business IT lifecycle to enable focused advisory efforts at all levels of the IT spectrum.
•Design, deliver and support various Information Technology (IT) projects through assessments, interviews, data analysis, documentation of findings and support the implementation of IT management technology at client sites.
•Lead portions of engagements under the supervision of the engagement manager. Liaise with client stakeholders and subject matter professionals.
•Provide expert-level support and technical mentoring, assist customers with proof-of-concept activities and lead practice build efforts. Act as a subject matter professional in one or more IT domains and/or industry markets.
•Provide input into engagement decisions including project planning and resource allocation.
•Assist in the creation of proposals, new business development efforts and in developing or updating firm methodologies regarding technology operations services.
•Responsible for leveraging knowledge and experience to deliver end-to-end methodologies within the firm which includes architecting technical implementation of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, organizing and prioritizing development efforts, interfacing with vendors and management.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
•5-6 years of IT and Business Experience. Consulting experience preferred.
•Functional knowledge and implementation experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, ITIL v3, COBIT 5 etc. Certifications are an added advantage.
•Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated project management skills and experience working directly with clients.
•Experience in writing business cases to support IT initiatives.
•Experience leading or managing teams effectively including planning/structuring analytical work, facilitating team workshops, and developing IT strategy recommendations.
Extensive technical expertise in MOST of the following areas:
•Networking - Firewall, Routing, Switching, Wireless, DNS, Network Architecture, Network Redundancy, Network Segmentation, Network Topology and Network Security.
•Data Centre Facility - Architecture, Site Location, Electrical, Mechanical, Physical Security and Environmental Safety.
•Technology Platform - Servers (Redundancy, Clustering and Virtualization), Storage (Storage Type, Virtualization, Consolidation, and Capacity Management), Backup and Archive (Backup System, Archive System, Policy).
•SANs, Cloud, Virtualization, Disaster Recovery - Advanced knowledge of design and operational best practices for solutions.
•Certifications such as VCP, CCNP, MCSE, CCEA and various MS certifications are highly desirable.
Non-technical experience in the following areas:
•Easily communicate with technical and non-technical audience.
•Experience and personality to diffuse difficult customer situations.
•Extensive knowledge of Visio and PowerPoint to create professional documentations and presentations.
•Ability to function independently, prioritize and act as a mentor to junior staff and members of other teams.
•Experience working in a high energy professional services or consulting firm preferred, but not required.
