L&D Associate (Digital L&D Specialist)
KPMG Business School ("KBS") is responsible for the development of our people within KPMG and our purpose are:
1. To equip our Extraordinary People in KPMG with the knowledge, skills and attitude to empower them to provide our clients with innovative approaches which deliver real results.
2. To provide world class learning and development framework and tools, and timely and insightful reports to the key stakeholders in order for them to effectively manage their people's growth and development.
The Learning & Development Associate reports to the L&D Assistant Manager and KBS Director, and key roles include:
o collaboration with a team of instructional designers and developers who are passionate about utilizing technologies to enhance learning experiences and increase learning effectiveness; and
o collaboration with various business units and their respective subject matter experts;
in the design and development, and maintenance of digital learning contents for both technical skill and non-technical skill areas.
o Works closely with and supports the Digital L&D Specialist team in the design and development of interactive and engaging web-based learning and eLearning contents through digital authoring tools and various technological enablers trending in digital learning.
o Consistently delivers high quality work to meet internal clients' needs.
o Builds positive and collaborative working relationships to drive collaboration and inclusion.
o Identifies learning-related issues, such as content sequencing, flow of information and relevancy of media, and suggests ways to implement effective solutions.
o Researches learning industry trends, methodologies, and technology and makes recommendations to instructional designers and developers and/or subject matter experts on how to incorporate trends into digital learning.
o Provides innovative solutions related to the design and development of digital learning contents.
o Recommends most effective deployment approach based on knowledge and experience in incorporating theories of adult learning, interactive learning methods and relevant assessments.
o Responsible for updating existing digital learning contents due to changes arising from processes, methodology or subject contents as highlighted by the instructional designers and developers and/or subject matter experts.
o Documents and follows up on problems encountered in the course of work and recommends appropriate solutions.
o Learns and be coached on how to use Articulate Storyline 3.0 for the development of digital learning contents.
o Be involved in the development and implementation of digital learning and development strategies and objectives of KBS.
o Be involved in Asia Pacific Learning & Development's digital L&D projects/initiatives for implementation in KPMG Malaysia.
o Be involved in People projects initiated by the People, Performance and Culture team from time to time.
o Day to day responsibilities and tasks within the department as the KBS L&D Associate.
o Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Instructional Technology, or Educational Technology, Training, Communication, or equivalent
o Relevant work experience in the area of digital learning & development is an advantage
o Good command of English
o Good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, with a pleasant personality
o Self-motivated and able to work independently
o Good time management and prioritization skills to meet project timelines
o Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills
o Passionate about developing digital learning contents and materials
o Strong multimedia skills with an eye for details and thoroughness
o Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Power Point
