Job Description
A pioneering company in the agricultural technology sector is actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This organization specializes in designing and manufacturing advanced machinery and installations that significantly contribute to agricultural production globally. The role involves leading the design and development process of machinery and installations from concept to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and directly engaging with clients to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transform conceptual sketches into detailed, functional machine and installation designs.
• Independently manage and execute medium to large projects.
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects within the organization and maintain effective communication with clients regarding technical details.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers working on various project aspects.
• Define the operational principles of machines and installations, including electrical and control systems.
• Develop comprehensive construction files, risk analyses, and production drawings in line with industry standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all project documentation, maintaining up-to-date digital records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering roles, preferably in a project management capacity.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software; knowledge of HICAD is an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with RidderIQ is desirable.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid knowledge of drive technology, pneumatics, electrical engineering, and hydraulics. Additional expertise in air treatment or refrigeration technologies is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work methodically, with attention to detail.
• Proven experience in leading projects and managing engineering teams.
• Excellent administrative, teamwork, and independent working skills.
