Your role as a Associate Insurance Linked Investments
As an associate in the Credit & Insurance Linked (CILI) team you will work with an international group of experienced specialists. Your role will be to actively contribute to quantitative analysis of transactions, the portfolio of investments, and over time to learn more about the other aspects of the investments. There is room to develop into the role of a portfolio manager. You will initially focus on the Insurance Linked Investments mandate. As an associate you’ll be challenged to contribute to growing a portfolio of investments with a pure focus on natural catastrophe risk. You’ll be part of a professional and enthusiastic team (with currently 7 nationalities) which invests worldwide, managing one of the world’s largest mandates in this unique asset class.
PGGM is a Dutch pension fund service provider responsible for managing over € 200 billion for different pension funds. PGGM’s CILI team falls within the Private Markets division. Credit & Insurance Linked Investments manages about € 9 billion across two unique mandates, Insurance Linked Investments and Credit Risk Sharing.
You have experience working for approximately 1-3 years in the (re)insurance sector, for example in underwriting or pricing. You like an intellectual challenge, and you are able to get to the essence of complex matters easily. You have an open personality and strong communication skills, and can write and speak English fluently.
Furthermore you have:
- the ambition to develop within this role and the CILI team.;
- a master degree, for example in econometrics or actuarial studies;
- strong analytical skills and you are familiar with quantitative models and databases.
