Fund Accounting Team Supervisor, Senior Associate
Purpose Of Role:
One of the key objectives of Fund Accounting Supervisor is ensuring the accurate and successful completion of the daily and monthly accounting, along with administrative servicing requirements for alternative and mutual funds, their structure and products. The main principle is client service standards which must be achieved within agreed deadlines and according to best practice AIS NAV operations. The Hedge Fund Accounting Supervisor will be also responsible for assisting, coaching and supervising the employees in successfully completing the deliverables.

Specific Duties:
  • Serve as main client operational contact
  • Ensure fund accounting processing procedures and controls are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Supervise accountants on systems, processing, procedures and job responsibilities
  • Train, coach and mentor new hires, develop and motivate staff
  • Provide input and feedback to Managers regarding employees' performance and development plan,
  • Work with Manager to ensure employees comply to company policies and procedures
  • Review, approve and assist with preparation of daily work and month-end valuation
  • Problem and error and query resolution on a timely basis
  • Meet client service standards which must be achieved within agreed deadlines
  • Ability to cover all funds within the team when required
  • Enforce adherence to service standards and specified deadlines
  • Ongoing assessment and improvement of provided service
  • Maintain a good working relationship with external clients as well as with internal relationship managers and other business units
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures
  • Work on Projects / Adhoc tasks as required
  • Individuals typically supervise 5 - 7 employees.

Specific Qualifications/ Skills:
  • Ability to perform effectively within strict client deadlines
  • 3 to 5 years fund accounting background with experience in Alternatives / Mutual Funds is a plus
  • Experience in supervisory skills
  • Fluency in English Language (both verbal and written)
  • Individual who takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Positive attitude with excellent problem solving skills
  • Both detail-oriented and big picture personality
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills,
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage time to maximize efficiency and to meet strict deadlines,
  • Strong analytical skills
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA qualified or part qualified an advantage
  • Knowledge of Investment (Financial) Services industry in Europe
