The Chief Data Office, Reference Data Operations team supports all lines of business in managing and maintaining reference data in adherence with firm standards and all required regulations.

Global Client Reference Data team is responsible for timely and accurate completion of reference static data setup and maintenance across various LOBs and locations in Client Central system.

Responsibility of the VP will be:
  • Provide oversight for a global reconciliation and identity cross-referencing function.
  • Establish new processes and associated controls to ensure timely reconciliation of internal and external identifiers.
  • Manage local and remote teams effectively and consistently.
  • Help support delivery of cross referencing strategy through adoption of strategic reconciliation tools.
  • Support stakeholder needs and manage functional governance with all process sponsors.
  • Adhere to agreed upon SLA's and KRI's.
  • To be proactive in identifying process and knowledge gaps, and effectively manage escalations.
  • Identify and deliver on opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure that the team has effective Quality Check process in place inclusive of key risk indicators and quality assurance processes.
  • Should display an appreciation of control, quality and risk related issues.
  • Interact and communicate with the business partners / requestors on regular basis to help them manage their expectations.
  • Interact with the team on daily basis, conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with each member.
  • Should manage training needs of the team along with ensuring completion of the mandatory targets.
  • Performance management, conduct appraisals, complete action plans for people development.
  • Ensure BCP strategy is in place for the team.
  • Provide Monthly Performance Metrics.
  • Assist in projects on data interfaces between systems such as defining project scope, data requirements and sources/resources.
  • Ensure procedures are kept up to date as well as Issue Logs/ Exception Logs
  • Ensure that the Daily Checklist controls are adhered to.
  • Participate in special projects revolving around data clean-ups, process improvement analysis and reporting. To plan & estimate efforts during analysis & requirements gathering phase.
  • Convert business problem statements into cost effective, scalable, reliable & user friendly solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • University Graduate
  • 10 + years of experience in financial services or related industries
  • 5 years in a supervisory role and managing people
  • Previous experience of managing reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of reconciliation tools and process best practices
  • Ideally knowledge of Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) reconciliations processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage global stakeholders
  • Ability to handle matrix reporting for self and teams

  • Good People Skills and ability to drive energy levels within the team.
