APAC/EMEA Digital, Cloud & CD Enablement
This role will play a critical role in providing strategic and architectural guidance on cloud adoption and enhancements in line with enterprise IT roadmap. This person will lead the transformation from the engineering blueprint to the service orchestration on cloud platforms and guide best practices for public/private/hybrid cloud solutions. This person will be the friend, philosopher and guide for our partners and stakeholders on cloud enablement. This role manages people, process and technology and will drive cultural transformation in conjunction with GCB CTO technology alignment with enterprise IT roadmap. This person will Lead in the engineering vision, artifacts and best practices for our Cloud based PaaS & IaaS shared platforms.
In the continuous delivery function, this person will be the cultural change agent, the custodian and the key driver in facilitating adoption of the CI/CD model and will partner with delivery managers, application and infrastructure teams, sponsors and stakeholders to manage seamless operations of all development and runtime platforms for GCB CTO.
This role has two broad functions:
  • Provide Tenant-Ops Support for Development and Production cloud platforms, delivering on complex, enterprise-level initiatives that are a part of the company's overall strategic direction
  • Provide business sector technical leadership to ensure world class performance of critical underpinning application infrastructure. Collaborate with infrastructure and application owners to improve sector estate IT performance, risk posture, and cost
Key Responsibilities as Digital Regional Manager:
  • Provide thought leadership for Cloud technologies for Consumer business, and communicate Cloud feature availability thru well-defined roadmaps
  • Develop and promote adoption of highly scalable, well-conditioned Cloud architecture standards
  • Leadership of development and production tenant operations for their respective regions
  • Engage key business & technology stakeholder teams, in conjunction with the regional Digital CIO direct, to ensure strategic alignment and clarity and support of business priorities
  • Ensure effective participation in business process reviews and facilitate journey mapping efforts
  • Proactively identify opportunities for development and automation in the region
  • Drive team to develop bespoke solutions as needed with repeatable patterns
  • Effectively manage/groom platform backlogs and sustain quality of development activities
  • Ensure CI/CD governance, best practices, principles, & processes. Cultivate and operationalize a DevOps discipline within the organization
  • Mentor and coach agile delivery principles
Key Responsibilities as Continuous Delivery Enabler/ Lead:
  • Understand risk posture of end to end technology solutions and prioritize remediation activities across infrastructure and application support teams
  • Lead business sector specific service improvement plans to address deficiencies in technology solutions and operational processes
  • Promote adoption of highly scalable, well-conditioned architecture standards,
  • Act as a primary liaison between application & infrastructure architects and infrastructure support teams
  • Develop relationships with key customers to identify emerging needs
  • Collaborate with client managers, project managers, application, and infrastructure teams to plan and coordinate business critical project delivery
  • Accountable for root cause analysis for Severity 1, Severity 2, and chronic recurring incidents that impact the business sector


Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in manging/leading enterprise level IT projects Cloud based technologies (PaaS, IaaS, Cloud Infrastructure Services)
  • Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS or Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with issues facing large scale server environments
  • Automation, Orchestration, CI/CD, Development or DevOps background is desired
  • Experience in architecture and support best practices in Pivotal Cloud Foundry in a private cloud environment or Amazon AWS.
  • Hands-on experience in open source technologies like, Docker, Git, SpringIO, NGINX, Tomcat
  • Broad knowledge in systems monitoring, alerting and analytics (AppDynamics, Logstash, Splunk, etc.)
Essential Skills:
  • Experience leading transformation and transition of IT shops from legacy to cloud platforms
  • Experience in architecture and support best practices in Pivotal Cloud Foundry in a private cloud environment or Amazon AWS.
  • Sound problem resolution, judgment, decision-making and influencing skills required
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Hard working and self-motivated. Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
Preferred Skills:
  • Certification in cloud technologies
  • Experience in IT transformation and/or ITIL implementation in a similar industry
  • Rest API / JSON development a plus
  • Understanding of cloud application design principles such as 12 factor apps
