Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. As part of the DBS IBG1 Services Industry team, the candidate will function both as a Direct Coverage RM and an Industry RM.

As a Direct Coverage RM, he / she will be responsible for:
  • Developing business relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Day to day account servicing and regular credit and compliance reviews
  • Deal origination across all product groups available for the Bank's mid and large corporate clients.
  • Preparing credit applications (which requires building / reviewing cashflow projections and advising / structuring financing terms and conditions to meet specific client needs) and overseeing legal documentation.
As an Industry RM, he / she will be responsible for:
  • Research and analysis of various retail and professional Services subsegments globally and providing industry support to Global RMs.
  • Establishing / reviewing a framework focussed on the Bank's Services Industry franchise. This framework will address the Services Industry team's business development strategy across targeted markets, as well as risk assessment criteria for potential / existing clients.
  • Working closely with Global RMs in our Core Markets & International Offices to on-board targeted clients in the Services Industry, conduct account planning sessions and grow the Bank's Services Industry franchise regionally with these clients.
  • Identifying common themes across various Services subsegments and leading product initiatives suitable for these subsegments.
  • Supporting adhoc projects (eg. portfolio reviews and stress tests).


  • The position is for a corporate banker (or someone with a relevant background in finance) looking to develop himself / herself into an industry RM. Candidates with prior experience in consultancy, strategy and / or business development functions will also be considered.
  • The Candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to perform analysis of financial statements is mandatory. Knowledge and experience in corporate finance is advantageous.
  • Prepared to travel regionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A self-starter and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Strong analytical and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience). Additional relevant professional qualifications will be viewed favourably.
