We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and strategic professional to support the Securities Opening and Data Maintenance (SODM) & Management Information Systems (MIS) functions within Account Services. The role is responsible for driving departmental governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, operational reporting, data analytics, and transformation initiatives while ensuring alignment with Group policies, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
The incumbent will oversee end-to-end risk and control matters, manage operational governance frameworks, support outsourcing and third-party oversight, and act as the process owner for SODM-related initiatives.
In addition, the role will lead MIS capabilities through the delivery of actionable management insights, performance reporting, workforce analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
The role will champion the adoption of AI, automation, and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, simplify legacy processes, and transform operating models while maintaining robust governance and risk management standards in alignment with OCBC's core values.

Securities Opening and Data Maintenance (SODM)
- Support and drive the successful transition of SODM activities to the Malaysia Centre of Excellence (COE MY), ensuring effective governance, knowledge transfer, process stabilization, and operational readiness.
- Act as the end-to-end process owner for all OSPL-related activities, including New Product Approval Process (NPAP), product variations, business initiatives, process changes, and project implementations.
- Assess and monitor departmental risks across operational, process, regulatory, compliance, outsourcing, and technology domains.
- Partner with Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, Technology, and Business stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and control frameworks.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Group policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal procedures.
- Oversee end-to-end risk governance activities, including risk assessments, control reviews, issue management, incident reporting, remediation tracking, and risk reporting.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and management responses, ensuring timely and sustainable closure of findings.
- Embed efficient, scalable, and sustainable controls that support operational excellence, innovation, customer experience, and disciplined risk management.
- Serve as the key liaison between Operations, Business, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure business objectives are achieved within a strong governance and control framework.
- Develop and deliver management dashboards, performance reporting, workforce analytics, and business intelligence insights to support strategic decision-making and operational management.
- Analyse operational performance, resource utilization, productivity metrics, and business trends to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, capacity optimization, and cost management.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through meaningful management information, predictive analytics, and actionable performance insights.
- Lead the adoption of AI, automation, analytics, and digital solutions to improve operational effectiveness, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls.
- Re-engineer legacy processes and operating models to improve scalability, standardization, productivity, and service quality.
- Support departmental governance through management reporting, control monitoring, reconciliations, access reviews, business continuity planning, and compliance reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic projects, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement programmes.
- Leverage data analytics and technology to strengthen risk oversight, enhance customer and employee experience, and support business growth objectives.
- Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through the effective use of technology, data, and automation.
- Provide strategic support to senior management through insightful reporting, trend analysis, forecasting, and executive-level presentations.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in operational risk management, governance, audit management, compliance, business transformation, and management reporting.
- Good understanding of outsourcing governance, regulatory requirements, operational controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects, process improvement initiatives, and organizational transformation programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, SQL, or other reporting and analytics tools.
- Experience in AI, automation, digitization, or emerging technologies would be an added advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across business, risk, compliance, audit, and technology functions.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to balance innovation, operational efficiency, and strong risk governance.
