AVP, Operational Risk Management - Quality Assurance, Group Risk Management
Job Summary
To provide positive assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank's internal controls and compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements as part of Group ORM QA (Quality Assurance):
Responsibilities and Expectations
  1. Strong Process, Audit and Control knowledge to perform thematic and other risk reviews and validations, and provide control recommendations to Senior Management and stakeholders.
  2. Structured and organised approach to risk , to be able to perform risk analytics, assess risk concerns and provide functional specialist expertise through advisory support to Business/Support Units on process improvements, new initiatives etc.
  3. Strong oral and written communications , to report on regular and ad-hoc risk matters to Senior Management and stakeholders.
  4. Strong project management skills to lead project to digitise the collection and reporting of data, reduce errors and improve and improve timeliness of data collection using technology tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), etc.
  5. Support the QA - People Risk Pillar managing:
    1. Employee Conduct Triggers (ECT) programme , covering management reporting, running Working Group, reviewing appeals, and partnering GHR on roll-out and communications.
    1. Operational Risk Partners (ORP) Programme ; running ORP forum, working with ORPs in roll-out of initiatives, coordinating the ORP appraisal process.
    1. Material Risk Personnel review, done as part of MAS Individual Accountability and Conduct Framework.
  1. Secondary role:
    1. Serve as point of contact to provide support to Divisions/Departments/Support Units on risk topics associated with process improvements, new initiatives, internal controls, etc.
    1. Review, maintain and provide oversight & guidance on relevant Policies and Procedures for the Group and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications
Skill Sets / Experience
  • 6 to 10 years in risk / audit / compliance role
  • Strong background in QA and controls
  • Motivated and innovative and constantly striving to improve on existing processes
  • Individuals with experience in the following areas are preferred: Banking and Finance, Audit or Risk, Process Improvement, Data Analytics
