About the Role
Join a high-impact delivery assurance team that strengthens delivery confidence across a complex and strategic project portfolio covering modernisation, transformation, regulatory, and risk-driven initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced project delivery professional who can look beyond reported status to assess whether outcomes remain achievable, risks are being managed, and leadership has the right insight to act early.
You will assess delivery confidence using plans, forecasts, risks, dependencies, issue trends, readiness evidence, and implementation indicators, providing independent challenge and evidence-backed recommendations to support timely management decisions.
The successful candidate will work across projects, programmes, and portfolios to strengthen delivery discipline, transparency, governance effectiveness, and execution consistency.

What You'll Be Responsible For
You will partner with project teams and senior stakeholders to strengthen delivery confidence across the portfolio by:

• Monitoring portfolio health through dashboards, data analysis, and assurance reviews to identify emerging risks, recurring issues, delivery trends, and areas requiring management attention.
  
• Assessing whether committed outcomes remain achievable based on delivery plans, forecasts, execution progress, risks, dependencies, issue resolution, and readiness evidence.
  
• Conducting independent delivery assurance, stage-gate assessments, and risk-based deep dives for high-impact, high-risk, or strategically important initiatives.
  
• Validating and substantiating reported delivery status across multiple sources and constructively challenging assumptions, forecasts, and recovery plans that are not adequately supported by evidence.
  
• Translating delivery data and evidence into clear assessments of delivery confidence, key delivery exposures, customer and business impact, and the decisions or interventions required from leadership.
  
• Applying assurance proportionately based on delivery context, complexity, criticality, risk exposure, and the strength of available evidence.
  
• Engaging stakeholders constructively and continuously improving assurance frameworks, evidence standards, reporting, and portfolio oversight capabilities.
  

Who You Are
You are a delivery-focused professional who can assess complex delivery information, ask the right questions, and translate evidence into practical insight. You bring:

• 8+ years of project or programme management experience, with strong exposure to delivery governance and complex technology delivery.
  
• Strong understanding of delivery frameworks, risk management, implementation readiness, operational transition, and portfolio-level governance.
  
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to assess delivery health, identify emerging risks, and develop actionable recommendations.
  
• Ability to analyse and validate evidence across multiple sources, challenge reported delivery confidence and form independent professional judgement.
  
• Strong communication and influencing skills to translate complex delivery evidence into clear decisions, conditions, and actions for senior leadership.
  
• A continuous-improvement mindset focused on quality, consistency, transparency, and delivery excellence.
  
• Experience in audit, assurance, compliance, portfolio oversight, or risk-based review functions will be advantageous. Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent are also preferred.
