Job Description

  • Responsible for the execution of the bank wide client data remediation plan which is incepted by 3 major pillars
    • Pre-existing Client Data Quality elements from BAU activities across all functions
    • New Client Data Quality elements arising from production system defects
    • External Data Sources which has yet to be migrated into the production banking system
  • This may include future regulations and business requirement, where the data has to be repositioned to cater for additional needs
Key responsibilities
  • To lead and provide guidance to the junior members in the delivery of each data element within the timelines and in accordance to the relevant procedures
  • To provide updates to the management team on a regular basis
  • To escalate challenges or deviations in the remediation activities to the management team for corrective actions
  • To track and escalate new issues which will be brought to the Subject Matter Experts for triaging
  • Responsibility of the team would be to:
    • Create the client data dictionary that will establish governance and control over client data elements
    • Propose and design the remediation process
    • Execute the remediation activity for all elements according to the assigned streams for which you will need to work closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of various functions, not limited to only the below:
      • Working with Technology to re-align/supplement data
      • Working with Front Office to collect the documentation (thereafter execute documentation review per the Bank's AML/CFT policy), to re-align/supplement data
      • Working with Operations to locate source documents in the bank's documentation depository, to re-align/supplement data
      • Working with Compliance to review client profile, to re-align/supplement data
    • Identify gaps in processes that lead to the data quality elements


Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Possess at least an university degree
  • At least 2 years of experience relating to client data management in the banking industry
  • Experience in the private banking industry an advantage
  • Experience in leading a team an advantage
  • Project Management experience an advantage
Skills:
  • Excellent time management skill
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Responsible and takes ownership of assigned tasks
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint will be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Management Information (MI) reporting and corporate presentations an advantage
