Global Technology Production’s primary role is owning the daily running and maintenance of applications used by both our staff and our Clients. We run a Global 24x7 support model that is time zone and location agnostic delivering a consistent service to all users. Issues and requests can be handled by and passed between the hubs in different time zones to increase responsiveness and reduce delays. This means giving our users the service they need, when they need it, in a fast, simple and clear way. Consists of local hubs based in our offices in London, Luxembourg, Singapore and New York.

Role Overview
As the Application Support Analyst, you need to have a strong focus on supporting IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) and IBM WebSphere MQ within a Tier 1 Finance House.  You will use your technical and business experience to support the Live and non-production Middleware systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The team supports Middleware/Swift/Fix messages across the estate and you will be responsible for:


  • Supporting the business to deliver key Agile projects
  • Supporting key business processes and performing and documenting root cause analysis of any issues
  • Deploying and managing code across test/prod
  • Following Problem, Incident & Change management processes

General and Technical Skills:

  • Degree graduate in Computer Science or any other related disciplines
  • Strong IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) experience
  • Experience working on IBM WebSphere MQ
  • Ability to apply Performance monitoring and statistics in IIB
  • Ability to decode, deploy, and troubleshoot platform-independent message flows
  • Collaborate with the team to make recommendations to enhance infrastructure and best practices
  • Maintain software patches & levels in accordance with change management processes.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in IBM API Connect or IBM API Management and related tooling
  • Experience with design and development of Web Services including REST/SOAP within IIB 10
  • Experience with CA UC4 Automic
  • Experience with BMM / QPasa monitoring installation and maintenance
  • Promote/control software changes in to SIT/UAT and production as required, following the defined release process
  • Experience of using GIT
  • Some reasonable Scripting including Python, Perl, Shell or Powershell
  • Experience of agile and scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of basic UNIX (Solaris) and Linux commands
