JPMorgan Asset Management ("JPMAM") provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. The Product Development team forms part of JPMorgan Investment Management business. The team is responsible for the design, development and management of JPMorgan funds to enhance market position. In addition, the team coordinates and manages different business/product related projects across the region.

Currently, we are seeking an experienced product development professional, based in Singapore, to lead our Singapore and South East Asia product development teams.

Main responsibilities and duties include:
• Manage a Product Development team that covers Singapore, South East Asia and Australia to launch, manage and reposition funds across a wide range of asset classes and client channels
• Develop effective partnership with investment desk representatives and sales teams with an aim to establish a forward-looking product plan while maintaining the fund range
• Be a key driver to manage product development initiatives with key stakeholders for the covered markets
• Adopt regional "best practices" and adhering to applicable governance processes for all product development initiatives.
• Monitor the execution of legal documentation, liaise with regulatory bodies on fund registration and on-going compliance matters
• Be a process improver on product/project management processes, product governance and registration, and management tools
• Operate as a subject matter expert on new requirements (product feature, client, market and regulations), lead projects to support business initiatives and enhance product governance and oversight
• Keep abreast of local regulatory and industry developments and upcoming changes to global product ranges that may impact the local fund range.
• Keep abreast of the competition and emerging industry developments, develop an effective internal and external network

• +7 years of relevant experience in the mutual funds industry, preferably in product development (i.e. coordination and launch of new funds and changes to existing pooled funds)
• In depth knowledge of mutual fund products and knowledge of regulatory environment in the APAC region, excellent technical knowledge of onshore and Luxembourg SICAV structures and documentation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence individuals internal and external to the firm
• Strong, proven, project management and people management skills
• Ability to manage business expectations with a high level of intellectual agility and creativity
• Degree in finance / law / economics, ideally with relevant professional qualifications such as CFA
