We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager, Mortgage Credit Review.

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with approved credit guidelines, policies, internal and external regulations in assessment of applications and reviews
  • Maintain consistent judgmental lending decisions to maintain a healthy portfolio to achieve business goals.
  • Establishing and ensure consistent and prudent approvals are made at all times across all products in compliance
  • Support and participate in Learning and Development
  • Compliance with internal and external audit and local regulatory requirements
  • Meet and strive to exceed service level agreement with all business partners to exceed business partners' expectations.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk
  • Continuously reassessing risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • Ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring, addressing areas of concern in conjunction with Risk and relevant line colleagues, and also by ensuring that actions resulting from points raised by internal or external audits, and external regulators, are correctly implemented in a timely fashion

  • Relevant years of banking experience
  • Preferred experience in Credit reviewing and mortgage
  • Team player with ability to work in matrix environment
  • Able to deal with senior stakeholders and business partners
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Computer savvy and able to multi task
