Investment Services Public Markets (ISPM)
Investment Services Public Markets, or ISPM, is an integrated team that provides investment service support for public market investment activities strategically and tactically. The team is responsible for business management functions for all public market investment strategy groups, as well as GIC’s global trade operations, custody control and asset servicing such as income entitlements, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate events of our underlying investments, futures and derivative operations, collateral management, pricing and rates, market data and rebalancing operations. The coverage extends across a spectrum of products such as equities, bonds, money market, foreign exchange, futures, collateralized securities and other derivatives.
•The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of new product/market approvals across multiple asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income & Currencies, External Managers)
•Work closely and directly with GIC’s investment teams on defining scope of new products that require approvals by internal stakeholders
•Assist in efforts of quick time-to-market for new product/market approvals
•Act as first point of engagement from investment teams during the product approval process
•Ensure progression of ongoing new product reviews with owners to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve bottlenecks to achieve timely completion
•Co-ordinate and bridge inter-departmental communication to establish support and manage project dependencies between teams
•Have a good understanding of operational and reputational risk within each new product review to ensure a well-controlled operating environment within GIC.
•Seek partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver increased operational efficiency and streamlining of front-to-back processes.
•University degree holder Business, Finance or Accounting
•Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance environment
•Understanding of derivative products across multiple asset classes (equity, fixed income)
•Highly motivated and energetic team player
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within a team environment, multi-task and take ownership.
•Strong communication skills as critical to work and partner with various stakeholders
•Willingness to learn and proactive in looking for ways to improve and build on current processes
•Strategic and goal-oriented focus
•High level of attention and accuracy to detail
