We are looking to recruit an Associate Director in Singapore to become the Global Lead for Fixed Income Technology, aligned to the Fixed Income & Currencies division within Commodities and Global Markets. The role will sit on the trading floor and report directly to the Division Director and Global Head of Financial Markets Technology. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the Global Fixed Income business aligned development team - both a local team as well as a small team in New York and Sydney
  • Transforming the capabilities of the team new tech plus old tech
  • Influencing the wider technology group including the core risk platform to assist your delivery
  • Establishing strong relationships partnering with stakeholders (the traders, Quant Strat group, Central Risk Group and other support groups) in delivering complex business solutions
  • Providing effective support for full CGM (ex-Equities) businesses in Singapore including Commodities
  • Planning, tracking, and producing formal status reports for the business
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Sound architecture leadership working with global peers
  • Working with peers to leverage synergies across other business delivery teams
  • Complying with existing policies, local and global regulation

To be successful in this role candidate will have:
  • Detailed knowledge of Fixed Income, FX and Commodity products and their derivatives
  • Practical development and development leadership experience, particularly in C++ and Python with Java, C# and HTML5 beneficial - the successful candidate will be hands on and not afraid to get into the detail whilst also being able to take a step back and take a high level view of the architecture - within a front office financial markets environment
  • A strong track record of working closing with business stakeholders
  • Experience challenging and motivating their team in the high pressure trading floor environment
  • Extensive experience developing and supporting derivative risk management and trading systems
  • Knowledge of front to back trade flows
  • Very good soft skills and high standards of management performance and behaviour
  • Global outlook and experience with sound appreciation of working with diverse cultures
  • Ability to work with minimal direction

Ideally the candidate will have experience and expertise in:
  • Agile methodologies
  • Cloud technologies
